Prokennex Ovation Flight Pickleball Paddle (2023)

I have the Black Ace and loved it but a friend said "You already have lots of power, you might want to get a paddle with more control." After a couple of months of hitting too many shots out of bounds, I decided to finally listen and ordered the Ovation. The regular square headed paddle was out of stock but I read that the sweet spot on a rounder paddle might be better. So far I love it! Don't hit as many wild shots and hope to get even better as I get more used to the Ovation. Great for my elbow and shoulders as well! If I hadn't found Prokennex with the Kinetic technology, not sure I'd still be playing Pickleball for almost 5 years now :-)

Just started using this paddle and so far so good. I have been at PB for about 3 years and am about a 3.0 player. I have a 7.8 oz Hudef xl 1.2 paddle which i really like but over the summer i have developed a bad case of tennis elbow. I wear a copper infused compression sleeve and tennis elbow brace, have gone thru physio and even started playing with the opposite hand. I have purchased the Kinetic paddle as the last resort. Supposed to be better than the invention of sliced bread........... time will tell. Ask me for an update in about 3 months.
The reason i gave a 4 rating is that i was very disappointed that such a highly engineered and pricey paddle doesn't come with a nice padded protective carry bag. Just came shipped in a cardboard box with bubble wrap. Come on guys, if you are that proud of your design just chuck in a "made in china" carry bag that would add about 5 bucks to the cost. Even my inexpensive Hudef came with one ( which i am using to carry your paddle in )

The paddle is light, nicely balanced and has a great grip. I bought it to reduce tennis elbow aggravation.

This is my first paddle so I don’t have much to compare it to. All the reviews I read said it was an amazing paddle and so far I agree. I play one day a week for 2.5 hours straight-no pain. It’s slim and fast, just like me, lol. Yeah, it’s expensive but I’m not gonna buy another paddle until this one dies. The next paddle will be a Prokennex.

I got this paddle because I get tennis elbow after playing for a couple hours. This got rid of it immediately, I haven’t had a tinge of pain since switching to it. I’m very happy with this paddle.
The buying experience was very pleasant with Ryan being extremely knowledgeable and patient as I tried out different paddles in the store.
