Weight, thickness, surface, all a good fit for me.
This 6.0 Double Black Diamond paddle is great. Fantastic spin and control. I can serve the ball very hard with lots of top spin and the ball will still land inside of the baseline. I would recommend getting a paddle cleaner because the paddle is so gritty you will see the ball shavings show up on the paddle after even one use. If you like a more controlled and spin game you will love this paddle. Having said that the paddle also has a good amount of power. I am a recreational player at a 3.0-3.5 level and this is a great paddle for intermediate to pro level players. I am very happy with my 6.0 Double Black Diamond paddle. The paddle is a bit on the pricy side so I’m hoping to use it for a couple of years to get my moneys worth.
Very happy with this. Sweet spot feels bigger than the Selkirk Luxx, lots of control (I really can't notice a difference) and the slightly longer, forward sweet spot feels great to play with, especially if you are catching the top edge or need a bit more reach.
For comparison, I recently tried out the Selkirk Luxx and Gamma Airbender and this one is my favorite by far.
Received the product. It’s beautifully professionally wrapped. Haven’t tried it yet but I can believe it’ll live up to its reputation. This store is awesome. Recommend everyone to buy.
I've only used this paddle for about 4 games so these are just my initial impressions. It's my understanding that there's going to be some transition time before I get used to this paddle. How long the transition time will be would probably depend on the paddle that you're used to playing with. I'm not there yet. Also SixZero states that these paddles have an average weight of 8.1 oz. This is what I was kind of expecting because the weights aren't listed in the packaging. This one turned out to be 8.5 oz. It's way to heavy for me.
